Concord Hotel: What It Looked Like Inside The Hotel in 2005 --> -->
(Kiamesha Lake, NY) If you ever stayed at the Concord, you knew not only how big it was, but how nice it was (in its prime). But what does it look like today? Below are pictures provided by "Pratchney" who was had an opportunity to take these pictures inside the rotting hulk of what was one of the "crown jewels" of the Catskills, the legendary Concord Resort. The resort was sold in December, 2004 by RSVP Reckson Strategic Venture Partners/Cappelli, which purchased it out of bankruptcy, to Empire Resorts. Empire owns Monticello Raceway as well as Mighty M Gaming, which operates the "racino" at the Monticello Raceway. It's been reported that Empire hopes to locate a casino at the Concord. Empire also recently purchased the former Grossinger's in Liberty, NY.

- The Lakeside Villa a bungalow colony that was established in the 1950's and is a part of The Concord Resort Hotel a world-famous destination for visitors to the so-called Borscht Belt part of the Catskills, known for its large resort industry in the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. Located in Kiamesha Lake, New York, the Concord was the largest resort in the region until its closing in 1998. There were over 1,500 guest rooms and a dining room that sat 3,000; the resort encompassed some 2,000 acres which in includes the Lakeside Villa bungalow colony. Blog was created in memory of our beloved bungalow colony, that was closed in 2008 by the current owners of the Concord Hotel, the former Lakeside Villa will soon be razed and demolished for the construction of a mall that will feature hi-end/designer retail fashion facilities.
